Hello.
I am interested in using LinkChecker for Internet Explorer. I would like to install it, but I have some concerns that I would like to ask about. If anyone can help with these questions, I would really appreciate it
1.) Regarding LinkChecker for Internet Explorer, does anyone know what the version number is of the most current version available?
2.) According to this https://news.drweb.com/show/?i=3730&lng=en, new versions of LinkChecker were released a couple of years ago for Chrome, Opera, and Firefox. However, nothing is mentioned in the article about Internet Explorer. Apparently, LinkChecker for Internet Explorer did not receive any updates.
Since a new version of LinkChecker for Internet Explorer was not released then, and since I cannot find anything stating that a new version of LinkChecker for Internet Explorer was ever released, I have to assume that a new version never was released. If that's the case, then the currently available version of LinkChecker for Internet Explorer is very old, which brings me to my actual question:
If the version of LinkChecker for Internet Explorer is as old as I think, is it even compatible with the most recent versions of Internet Explorer? Heck, for that matter, is it even compatible with newer versions of Windows?
Disappointingly, I could not find any information on the Dr.Web website regarding which versions of Internet Explorer and Windows that LinkChecker is compatible with. A Google search was not very successful either, although I did find this: http://downloads.techweekeurope.co.uk/26844/drweb-link-checker-for-internet-explorer-1020/
The above link is for a website offering a download of LinkChecker. Next to the download button, a list of product specifications is provided, with Windows XP being the latest version of Windows listed. (See attached screenshot.)
I have no idea how accurate the above information from that site is, but if an updated version of LinkChecker for Internet Explorer was never released at some point, then the currently available version predates the release of Windows 7. And if that's correct, then I have to wonder if it should even be used with newer versions of IE such as 10 and 11 or with newer versions of Windows such as 7 and 8?
Can it? Or no, probably not?
