Doctor Web updated the file monitor SpIDer Guard included into Dr.Web single-user anti-virus products, Dr.Web Enterprise Suite and the Internet-service Dr.Web AV-Desk. Significant changes have been done to the component to ensure its faster, more stable and reliable operation.



Algorithms, used to download virus databases and the anti-virus engine, have been optimized to avoid critical errors and improve system responsiveness during updating. The modified routine for allocation of memory during scanning has also allowed improving operation of the module while the refined event handler improves stability of SpIDer Guard. Compatibility with Windows 7 has also been improved.



The procedure for transferring SpIDer Guard statistics has been updated for Dr.Web Enterprise Suite.



Issues that caused critical system errors while Dr.Web was operational have been fixed.



The update will be downloaded and installed automatically by Dr.Web anti-virus service software and Dr.Web for Windows.
