Hello,

LiveCD is a tool for someone who knows what to do with his girlfriend's infected computer to take all compliments from her

Simply i use windows, i like windows but sometimes i need linux, linux has little applications which make life easier. But i don't want to use a complete linux LiveCD distro and I also want to have Dr.Web installed on Live CD.

I know gparted and hdparm and already requested them from developers. Do you know any other tools which make things easier?

Something to work with the HDD, like PartitionMagic.
Normal file manager.
Anything for recording a CD from an image ISO.
It would not be bad!

Yes, nice...
If it's possible to also have some kind of Hard Disk Editor to save, copy, move or erase some common sectors used by some infector like MBR rootkits.

Alpha01 have you ever looked the dd command? Simply you can use it to securly erase a hdd, i believe after using this command there wouldn't be a MBR Rootkit, because it also erase (correct termination is " write zeros or write random datas") MBR sectors.
