Hi.

 

i just saw this test pdf from AvLab.pl

it tests products against ransomwares and well DrWeb was not really good ( in their opinion! )

 

is this test Confirmed and trusted by DrWeb? or they just test DrWeb for themselves?

AFAIK, Dr.Web is not involved in the tests. Today, there are no AV-testing methodologies that can adequately compare such a complex and multifaceted software like antivirus - all tests are sharpened to a specific producer. The company is not involved in the user opinion's manipulation, and therefore doesn't give permission to take part in the testing programs. It's official policy of the company.

About your link. In these tests files were encrypted in 1 case (sample # 13). Dr.Web has a special instrument against such ransomware. To protect important files from being changed by malicious software/encoders, enable the Data Loss Prevention function. With this function, you can make copies of files that reside in the specified folders.

something interesting there is in the test result ! DrWeb Security Space got Best++  but DrWeb Katana got nothing ! how is that possible?

Katana have only behavior engine, no signatures, only algorithm's. 1 - type detect's it's bullshit and must be removed from this test, only 0/1 show real protection level in anti-ransomware engines.

Thanks for replies yes Kaspersky was great but do not forget that Kaspersky so far had many many Security Bugs ! six month ago a video published and show that Kaspersky Firewall can bypassed easly ! and since then still they don't fix it ! and last week another video published and another security bug published from Kaspersky ! ( http://www.aparat.com/v/y317J ) such this Company cannot be trusted really IMO Regards,Parham

From the same source, AFAIR, recently sounded that compatibility period with Windows 10 for AV vendors decreased from 30 to 6 days.
