Hi,

Welcome aboard :)

Sorry for the delayed reply, ive been away :)

Here is your solution.

Sandbox > DefaultBox > Sandbox settings

Resource Access > File Access > Full Access

add the following folder : C:\Program Files\Drweb

Hope that helps http://forum.drweb.com/public/style_emoticons/default/wink.png

Hey C.S.J,

I appreciate your help. I just tried that now but it still doesn't work for me.. I get the save as dialog instead, and Spider Guard instead of Spider Gate takes action

any ideas? :)

hmm it should, you sure you have done it properly? :)

if its not to much trouble, please show me both a screenshot of your file access settings in Sandboxie and also what happens when you go to eicar etc.

thanks again

I've attached the screens: the first shows the sandbox settings, second shows when firefox is sandboxed, third is when I run firefox outside the sandbox (not sandboxed).

have you tried adding the firefox folder into the same settings, firefox may be blocking it.

i personally use Chrome atm.

I tried that and even tried adding the whole C: drive but still no luck. I find it strange though.. i would have thought it would work

I don't know what to do.. i need sandboxie for secure browsing and like dr web spider gate. I tried chrome but the adblock plugin and noscript are great with firefox.

if you have any ideas, I'd appreciate it

thanks

i will install firefox tomorrow and give it a whirl for ya,

be patient, but i must sleep now :)

try removing the drweb folder from direct access and only adding - Spidergate.exe and Spidergate_Set.exe from the drweb program files folder.

thanks C.S.J

good night, have a relaxing sleep :)

firefox works fine, just by adding the drweb folder.

are you sure your not trying the SSL version?

try my attached test file - click it, dont save.

thanks for testing, when I click it I just get text displayed in the browser: "X5O!P%@AP[4\PZX54(P^)7CC)7}$EICAR-STANDARD-ANTIVIRUS-TEST-FILE!$H..."

I removed the last few characters

what do you mean by the SSL version btw?

could it be cause I'm using XP SP3? it's not just firefox by the way I tried IE and Chrome too, they work fine normally but when sandboxed Spider Gate doesn't filter at all

:)

i really am at a stump, :)

seems to all work fine on my machine, even a fresh install of firefox.

did you say your SpiderGate works when not sandboxed?

im lost now, erm........ maybe someone else will come in with a different answer, but i doubt it as thats how its done. http://forum.drweb.com/public/style_emoticons/default/huh.png
