I have the same issue as you. Had the demo version too but failed to neutralise the detected trojan. Had contacted the support team and I was told to set as administrator privileges. It did not solve the issue though

recently purchased the mackeeper without knowing that it is a trojan. Can anyone suggest what I can do now? I just downloaded the demo version 10.1.1.201505250 of Dr web for Mac OS X. Done the full scan and found positive for Trojan.Genieo.71. However, the threat cannot be removed. What could be the reason? I kept getting popup tabs because of this trojan. So irritating! Please help!
