Hi, I have the downloaded the Link Scanner to my desktop, and allowed it to run its registries. It was working fine when I would right click to check a web link. But now, it is not working. Does it only work on certain web links? I have tried it on Google and worked fine, and on Mininova before downnloading files. Now, right clicking still brings up a grey box with various options which includes "Scan with dr.web", after clicking scan, the screen blinks and thats about it. Has anyone else mentioned this issue? Is there something I can do to correct it?

In what browser you used the reference "" Scan with dr.web "?
Try to check up an ini-file of your browser for detection there necessary strings. In a return case register necessary strings in an ini-file of your browser anew.

I'm using Internet Explorer 7. And have Google as the search default. Where do I look for the ini-file? Is it in a folder on the C drive or in Internet Options? I've heard of an ini file but am not sure where to look for it? Any more tips is greatly appreciated. =)

For example I will type a word in the Google search box, Google will return with a long list of web searches that relate that word. If I right click on any link I'm able to click "Scan with dr.web". I was able to get a result, now, the webpage just kinda blinks.

I thought so too, I did see that google was blocking it, so I turned off the pop up blocker, that didn't work, I also disable the pop up blocker from IE, and that didn't work =( Thanks for the suggestion tho =)

I use by default browser Opera. In him the "Scan link with dr.Web" is works. But, I regret to say that having established the offered plug-in in browser IE7, I also have received an idle variant "Scan link with dr.Web".
I.e. the link upon is present, but it does not work - file check on this command does not occur. I'm sorry.

Hello again, I finally got it work over the weekend. I tried allowing everything related to drweb.com on the pop up blocker settings and disabling pop ups. For some reason I happened to press CTRL button while clicking "Scan with drweb" icon, and it works! =)

If anyone is using IE and the scan was not working, try this:
right click a link you would like to scan.... a grey box comes up with all the different options to click on including "Scan with drweb"

press and hold CTRL key down, then press left key on mouse to choose "Scan with drweb"

a seperate webpage will appear with the results of the scan. You can also try using the SHIFT key instead of CTRL.
