Hello.
One of our "difficult" clients test Dr Web Anti-virus with some Eicra file tests found at http://securite-informatique.info/virus/eicar/.
Dr Web Spider Guard detect only 2 files on 34 files.
Even if it's "tests" files, the result is difficult to defend ...
Is the result normal ?

Hi, m2isarl !
Spider Guard is the on-access scanner. By default it does not scan inside archives and e-mail files. Viruses in archives are not active and cannot cause any damage.
"The disabled scanning of archives with the constantly active guard does not mean the viruses can penetrate a PC, it only means that the moment of their detection is postponed. When the infected archive is unpacked (or an infected message is opened), an attempt to write the infected object on the drive will be taken and the guard will inevitably detect it." - from Dr.Web® user manual.
You may turn on checking archives and e-mail files in Spider Guard, but this is not recommended. Enabling this mode will substantially decrease computer's performance. If you do it for test purposes :-), you will see quite different results. :-)
Dr Web on-demand scanner does scan inside archives and e-mail files, of course.
