Russian anti-virus company Doctor Web has updated the Dr.Web Control Service (11.0.11.02060) in a number of Dr.Web products. The update resolves known software issues.

The anti-exploit module Dr.Web Shellguard has been added to the module list in the About section.

Some changes only affect Dr.Web Enterprise Security Suite:

  • The update resolved an issue causing Dr.Web Updater to terminate abnormally during low-speed update downloads.
  • Also corrected was a defect that prevented target host system information from being displayed correctly in the console.
  • The update further eliminated an issue that could cause Windows Defender to launch in spite of Dr.Web protection being enabled in the system.

The update will be downloaded and installed automatically.

“The security industry in that case becomes bullshit, because people believe in those products and use them in their corporate environments without understanding that those products are just following others,”  - Boris Sharov
