Hey Guys,

Matt over at Remove-Malware.com tested CureIt v5

from what i can see, which is hard as the videos aint too clear..... Viruses and Spyware were not a problem, but a few rogue programs were left.

i aint too sure why XP Antivirus 2009 was left, as im sure ive tested Drweb against this myself before with 4.44 and it cleared it perfectly.

Possibly the new modifications of XP Antivirus 2009. As you see there were 86 malware and viruses, so why not to suppose that there are some new.

And It's better to boot with livecd, than in safe mode, some specific rootkits and backdoors can be still active.

I have two diff type of this AV XP 2009
Dr web detects one as Trojan.FakeAlert....
other goes undetected

i tested it against it again tonight, and it removed it fine, maybe it was just a new varient of it.

I have noticed with V5, that .orgin and 'Probably Trojan.Packed' detections have greatly increased, would i be correct in this assumption?

I am curious to know how much this adds for Drwebs overall detection rate, any guestimates?

...or maybe the staff members actually know from internal testing?
