Is it usual that Dr. Web Antivirus 5 starts very slowly (4-5 seconds) when it is running from context menu? Other programs that I used started practically immediately. Thanks.

I don't think so. 4 - 5 seconds to load bases, to drop Shield, to draw the window - I think it's NOT slow.

It is slow compare to Avast or Avira, for example. They starts almost immediatelly.

I am sure that this issue can be fixed with very little effort?

not fixable in current architecture. Time is spent for loading modules and bases and starting antirootkit cleaning & protecting procedure.

It is slow compare to Avast or Avira, for example. They starts almost immediatelly.

incorrect comparison. the scanner the standalone module and loading every time.
