hello.

i am also a gamer and the game i play online uses the anti-cheat tool/system from
evenbalance called punkbuster.

since i've updated from drweb v5 to v6 the antivirus tool is blocking the services
of punkbuster. how do i add them to the exclusion list so that the anti-cheat tool is
working again??

Depending on who found:
C:\Program Files\DrWeb\spiderNT.log
C:\Program Files\DrWeb\spiderG3.log
%userprofile%\DoctorWeb\drweb32w.log

there's also a drwatson.log file which will get generated after starting the game.
how or where should i posts these 2 log files (drwatson.log+spider3g.log) ??

no, i only use drweb v6.0 for windows. i don't have a license for the pro version with firewall.

i can't make a screenshot. i connect to a server on which punkbuster is enabled.
as soon as i am ON the server, punkbuster makes it's connection/update checks
and as soon as the punkbuster service itself starts, the game instantly quits.

no failure message or anything from the game nor from punkbuster.

but i've seen that drwatson has been called. so something is causing a huge
problem.

why do you blame drweb on it?

in any case you have to upgrade to Windows XP Service Pack 3. keep using XP SP2 is very insecure now.

as soon as i turn off drweb it works well. as soon as i turn drweb on again, it gets blocked.

it means: when i shut down, disable, switch off, kill drweb, the punkbuster service will not get blocked and the game will work.

how i disable drweb? i disable "SELF PROTECT" then i deactivate and shut off the DRWEB SCANNING ENGINE in the Services Panel
and kill the two processes "dwengine.exe" with TaskManager.

that means i have to uninstall this product and go back to version 5 or even 4.44.
