Hi
Dr Web keeps sending me emails that say:
ERROR: Dr.Web ® Updater: cannot get drwtoday.vdb with valid CRC32 (lst=51F7103C, actual=813974A7) !
ERROR: Dr.Web ® Updater: failed to download new/updated files from http://update.drweb.com/unix/500 !
Please can someone explain to me what this means? My main concern is that the updates are failing.
Thanks.
Viola
It means that updater was not able to download file by some reason. My be it was problem on server side, may be it was some problem with network connection. If you showed us log we could answered on this question.
Hi
Thanks for your reply and I apologise for the delay in replying back.
I haven't yet managed to figure out where I can find the drweb log, but I found a thread on this forum (
http://forum.drweb.com/index.php?act=Post&...amp;qpid=391848) that said:
1) Open file '/etc/drweb/drweb32.ini'
2) Find section '[Updater]'
3) Change parameters in this section:
LogLevel = Debug
LogFileName = /var/drweb/log/updater.log
4) Run updater
5) Pack file '/var/drweb/log/updater.log' and attach here archive
I followed these instructions, I hope it is useful in helping me with my problem. If this was not the best way to get the drweb log, please can you tell me where I can find it?
Thanks for your help.
