The old SpIDerGuard used to only be an on-access scanner, scanning files created or modified on fixed drives. There was no need to scan files on execution. Removable media and network drives were scanned on opening the files. Hence "Smart-Mode".
In the latest version of Dr Web, is the same smart scanning mode retained or does SpIDerGuard now scan on execution?
