I have downloaded the trial version of Dr Web the other day. Installed, everything went ok just that I didn't like the fact that it didn't see many trojan and viruses from my testing archive....therefore I decided it to uninstall it from the system.

The uninstall procedure went ok but I realized that after resatart the toolbar icon of Dr. Web is still present. Checked the Program Files and the whole program was there, untouched!!

Tried removing again and it says that it has been uninstall but the program was still there. Decided to remove the files one by one which worked for some bot not for the others, used a live os to load and remove all the traces of Dr Web from the system but now, I cannot go online.

If I reinstall Dr. Web, everything is ok - I can go online. If I uninstall...it stops me from accessing the internet again. I have checked everything and the only parts from Dr.Web still on the system are some registry key, related to self protection that cannot be removed at all...

Please advise.

I have uninstalled using the normal add-remove facility from windows.
I have also uninstalled using all sort of uninstallers like - your uninstaller, perfect uninstaller, etc.
I have also used a live CD to remove all traces...

I have same issue no net connection after removing DR.Web I am using Win 7 X64. I tried the tool "drw_remover" several times and no luck

@CARON67 my router doesnt have any firewalls as other 2 computers works fine in the same network. I am having this problem after uninstalling DR web Cure. If I will restore to the point that I have Dr web back my internet works fine and I will remove using Control panel or dr_remover I will not have internet connection at all.

How do you can to delete the connection settings to the Internet?

First, export the registry branch
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SYSTEM \ CurrentControlSet \ Services \ WinSock2
Then
Start-Run (Run)
netsh winsock reset
Ok.
Then configure the connection to the Internet again.
