- Used chkdsk to correct errors/etc.
- Checked my hard drive status with many utilities and diagnostics tools
- Installed all windows updates, tried also without windows updates
- Changed my sata controller
- Updated my SATA/RAID drivers, tried 3 different versions
- Tried to close/enable and find windows services that might affect this
- Closed other active programs except Dr.Web scanner
- Tried to change Dr.Web settings
- Asked for help in 2 different forums
- Asked for help from dr.web staff on these forums and their tech support
- Other misc. actions and attempts
- Provided all the necessary logs starting from rootkit unhooker, hijackthis, gmer to system information .nfo, dr.web debug logs, dr.web standard logs and damaged vdb files
Version history: 4.33 = worked, 4.44 = worked, early 5.0 = worked. Current 5.0 = doesn't work
I have used the program since september of 2007 and this is the first time I have some serious problems with it. I have always recommended Dr.Web because it was stable and troublefree. I think I've done enough to fix this, now I will wait for Dr.Web tech staff to get back to me. They stated in support ticket that my files and this information has been forwarded and they will research this. The message I got stated that there is no fix or workaround, but they are investigating it and will get back to me when information is available. I think there's not much I can do anymore except prey for a miracle.
