Downloaded free version of Dr. Web to my home PC. Ran the quick scan and it identified BackDoor.Tdss.565 as present in memmory in Explorer.exe. Claimed to erradicate it. I followed up the quick scan with a full scan that found and eliminated some other less agressive viruses (mostly in old unused files).
Re-booted the system and rescanned. The BackDoor.Tdss.565 was back in memmory. Latest scan shows it has moved and BackDoor.Tdss.565 now resides in iexplore.exe.
So my question is this: can Dr. Web really and permanently remove BackDoor.Tdss.565 or should I just format the hard drive and start over?
Thanks, Mark
