Hello,
Has anyone had success booting DrWeb 6.00 LiveCD AV from a USB flash drive?

Mine will not boot to the end. Maybe the USB support from the DrWeb ISO is broken. It looks like DrWeb looses contact with the flash drive and does not know how to reconnect. I tried it in native mode and under VMware workstation.

I can boot the following Rescue CDs from USB without problems:
Avira
BitDefender
F-Secure
GData
Kaspersky

Thanks for any help.

I understand, but I mentioned in my previous post that I also ran it on a real PC (native) and the results were the same. I have not tried the suggested link yet, but I will report back after testing.

That version will boot, but it's an old version (DrWebLiveCD-5.0.3.110117). I'm talking about 6.0.0. Also, when I boot the old version, I have network connectivity, but the update function doesn't update the DB. Firefox works for browsing. Is there a way to manual update the USB or are the updates each time in memory only?

Thanks ....

Thank you very much SergM. I downloaded squashfs for windows and updated the .dwm database with the
missing and newer .vbs files. I am scanning right now from USB as I post this message. Great support.

One more question: Is the liveusb the same engine version as livecd?

I am confused by the different version numbers 6.0.0 and 5.0.3

I ran the 6.0 ISO and used the LIVEUSB desktop icon to make a USB version of it and that still
does not boot to the end like I mentioned in my first post. I guess I will have to wait and hope this gets fixed.

Can someone confirm that the LIVEUSB 6.0.0 version is not working?

The old version 5.0.3 supports it and the new version 6.0.0 does not ;)
That does not make sense.

I would not consider my laptop (Lenovo T500) old. My guess is that the Linux version being used for 6.0.0 is broken. Usually when hw support is removed, it is very old and hardly being used anymore. With Linux, you are always taking a chance when switching to a newer version depending on what distribution is being used.
